About Kris Landers
My name is Kris Landers and I live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country with my 3 children. Growing up, my mother was an art teacher who loved making wooden toys and showed me the love of woodworking. She taught me how to install and refinish reclaimed wood flooring and trim. Throughout the years, I continued working with my hands welding and creating furniture from antique reclaimed lumber which I salvaged from old barns and houses built in the 1800s. After high school, I became a jeweler and gained the knowledge of lost wax casting. Several years later, I began building movie sets all over Texas for various blockbusters! What an exciting ride that was. Fun fact, I worked on sets for movies such as Predators, True Grit, Spy Kids, Alita Battle Angel, Secondhand Lions, and many more. Today, I have combined all the knowledge I've gained over the years and built my business, Forged in Timber to craft beautiful pieces for everyone to enjoy!
